It’s All About Your Immune System Part 1 ~ Why is it so important?

How to Boost Your Immune System

Do you find the flu bugs getting stronger and stronger each year? With a lot more people travelling these days, flu seems to be constantly in season and whether we travel out of the country or not, we find ourselves inadvertently being exposed to different bugs from different continents all the time. Unless we plan to live a hermit lifestyle, it is almost impossible for us to avoid them.

If you happen to be suffering from chronic or mystery illnesses, or even having seemingly harmless issues like eczema, acne, etc., it all boils down to an immune system that is being compromised. When an immune system gets compromised, unloved and unwanted pathogens get in the way of our health. What exactly is an immune system?

The immune system is a complex network of organs, cells and proteins that defends the body against infection, whilst protecting the body’s own cells. As pathogens get stronger and stronger, no thanks in part to environmental pollution, the proliferation of GMO foods, more and more processed foods and fragrances in the environment, etc., our immune systems are consistently under attack. Over time, our immune systems get weakened. And when our immune system is weak, all sorts of bugs get to us.

Typically when pathogens enter our bodies, our white blood cells fight back by gobbling down these pathogens to keep our bodies healthy. Over time, as pathogens get stronger and stronger and if our white blood cells get weaker and weaker from not having the right foods to feed them and newly born cells not having the opportunity to strengthen before they get attacked, we become more susceptible to getting the flu bug and anything else that comes along.

Our health is greatly dependent on our immune system and it is the foundation of our physical health. Without a strong immune system, we not just only catch the flu bug, it also compromises the health of the rest of our body, which may lead to us being more easily susceptible to longer term issues like eczema, acne, cysts, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc. just to name a few.

Keeping our immune system strong is therefore of utmost importance if you not just wish to keep the flu bugs out, but also your overall general health. Remember – it’s always about your immune system!
